David Dimbleby, Superintendent of Schools, was appointed July 1, 2005. Mr. Dimbleby had been principal of
Hilton High School since 1999. Prior to that he was
principal at Hilton’s Quest Elementary School and West
Avenue Primary School [1994-99]; assistant principal in the
Churchville-Chili School District; and special education
teacher in the Hilton
School District at Merton Williams Middle School for eight years. He
was honored by his colleagues in Hilton by being named
"Teacher of the Year" in 1992. He was recognized for his
"quiet dignity" he maintains in the classroom. He is a
graduate of SUNY Brockport in history and as a Masters from
Nazareth College in Special Education.
Mr. Dimbleby is highly
regarded as a principled leader who engages his school team in
thoughtful, strategic planning which has led Hilton High
School to higher Regents diploma rates, the establishment of the International
Baccalaureate Diploma program and recognition by
Newsweek's List of Top
High Schools. Both Hilton High
School and Quest Elementary School are authorized by the
International Baccalaureate; Quest is an authorized Primary
Years Programme. For more:
