Programme of Inquiry

Staff Directory

Quest Elementary students are grouped in four age-ranges creating a multi-age environment where children work together and grow at a pace that is developmentally-appropriate within a structured learning community.  Quest Elementary School is an authorized International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme [IB-PYP].  Among the many school wide activities, Quest Elementary intermediate students annually present an Exhibition where they research an issue of importance and use that knowledge to help take action in their community and world.  Students meet with mentors and/or teachers to ask questions, request information, go on field trips, etc. Guided inquiry is instructional strategy used throughout the school as a vehicle for learning.  Teachers tap into students’ knowledge and experiences and lead them through a hands-on process of exploring, questioning, researching and communicating new understandings.  What is International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme?   What is a Learner Profile?

Parents are active partners including volunteers in classrooms, participating in the Parent/Teacher/Student Organization, helping in the Library/Media Center or simply coming in to see the wonderful things going on in the classroom.  We believe that parents as well as students should have direct input and responsibility in establishing academic, social and work-habit goals.  We believe in using authentic means of assessment. Welcome to Quest, a school with both a history and a future!
