Hilton student athlete competes and wins
fitness challenge; goal - "to make fitness fun"
Hilton High School student
athlete Krista Sealy accepted a fitness challenge
which took place at the Metro YMCA in Rochester and
earned a $1,000 donation from the Y to help the
Hilton School District "engage more students in
physical activities and change their attitudes and
habits about fitness and to encourage individuals to
engage in a minimum of 30 minutes of physical
activity each day."
Krista, who is a Hilton HS distance
runner, participated in the "Beat the Old Man Challenge"
against master athlete Steve Abramson, 58, President of Pace
Windows and Doors of Rochester. She beat or exceeded
Mr. Abramson in two of four challenges: jogging three miles,
racquetball, one-on-one full-court basketball, and a
60-pitch softball contest.
Krista's parents, Eric and Holly Sealy,
and grandparents attended the award presentation at Hilton
High School May 5 with Hilton CSD Athletic Director Michael
Giruzzi and Associate Director of the YMCA of Greater
Rochester Jay Polston. For more: "Pace
Go 4 Fitness Challenge."
