Meet the Candidates May 7, 2009
The Hilton Central School District will
hold an informal Meet the Candidates Night Thursday, May 7,
2009, at 6:30 pm in District Offices, Board Meeting Room,
225 West Ave., Hilton. The community is cordially invited
to attend.
Two, three-year terms are open on the
seven-member Hilton Board of Education. In an uncontested
race, two candidates will be on the ballot for two,
three-year terms on the Hilton Board of Education at the
May
19, 2009 Board Election and Budget Vote.
On the ballot are incumbents:
Daniel Wellington, left, of 336 Frisbee Hill Rd.,
Greece. Mr. Wellington, current Board President, has been on
the Board since 1994 seeking his fifth term. He is an Oswe g o
HS graduate and has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from
Clarkson University and an MBA. He is the Corporate
Director of Quality Assurance at Welch Allyn, a medical
device manufacturer located in Skaneateles Falls, NY.
Robert Prorok, right,
of 149 Sand Pebble La. Greece, was originally appointed to
the Board in 2005. He was elected to his first, three-year
term in 2006. He is a graduate of Bishop Neumann HS in
Williamsville, NY and has a BA and MA in Economics from the
University of Buffalo as well as an MBA in Finance from UB.
He is Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Howe
and Rusling, Inc.
