VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS OF HOMECOMING

Looking to get a good view, a student climbed a tree in front of Quest Elementary Friday, October 8, to see the Homecoming Parade.  Floats, groups, and the Hilton Marching Band, under the direction of Hilton Schools Music Program Coordinator Nancy Russo were in line.  The Marching Band performed at the Homecoming varsity football game [Hilton vs Churchville-Chili] .

The community was cordially invited to attend.  Homecoming in Hilton beginning with a parade down main street from 6 pm-7pm ending at Hilton High School.  The football game under the lights began at 7 pm.  Tickets at the gate are: general admission $2; students $1 or free with player pass or cadet crew t-shirts; HCSD staff free with school ID; and free for seniors with GAP pass.

The Marching Band, with now over 80 strong,  performed pop selections from Michael Jackson and Lady Gaga.  "The first musical selection will be Michael Jackson’s Thriller and will feature Cameron Goldberg as a guitar soloist as well as a theatrical performance from the marching band," said Ms. Russo.  "The second selection, Bad Romance by Lady Gaga will feature vocal soloist Ashleigh Bechtold along with her entourage, Bianca Camillaci, Maria Russo, Cheyenne Righetti, Sarena Iatomasi and Krista Reiter. The marching band will also be joined by the Hilton Varsity Cheerleaders as they marvel us with their dance routine during Bad Romance. "

"The Band will have various uniform changes similar to the original music videos for each of the musical selections," she added. "Members of the band will pay tribute to Michael Jackson with fedora hats, the infamous 'one glove,' and the addition of zombies throughout the performance of Thriller.  Band Members will sport glow glasses and glitter in and effort to showcase the vocal performance by our own Lady Gaga by Ashleigh Bechtold.  This has been an exciting season, as the numbers in the marching band have been increasing and the music selections have been invigorating to perform."
