Ancient Rome and Greece Festival at Village Elementary School

Hilton Village Elementary school sixth grade team presented a "Greek and Roman Festival"  at the school on Feb. 12, 2010 featuring re-enactments, living history tableau and informational posters on life long ago in two early civilizations. 

"Each student researched a person or specific place in Greece or Rome," said teacher Julie Light. "They wrote their own script, created costumes and visuals to fit their role."

Parents and classmates interacted with presenters who were patricians, soldiers, slaves, gladiators, athletes, reporters, as well as specific individuals from the past such as Octavian and Constantine. Students were from teachers Julie Light, Derek Warren and Michael Stepnick's classrooms.
