Disability Awareness Day at Northwood Elementary School presented by The Advocacy Center

Hilton's Northwood Elementary School students warmly received visitors from Rochester's  Advocacy Center on October 28 during National Disability Awareness Day.  Students worked with Brennan Coon, right, who allowed students to try out his recumbent, hand-pedalled bicycle.

Matt Giordano, left, demonstrated various drums. He appeared in the PBS NOVA program featuring the work on music, Musicphilia , written and researched by Dr. Oliver Sacks.  Matt is a talented musician who copes with Tourette Syndrome with percussion instruments.
