Hilton High School Women's Chorus
and Chorale place first at Heritage Festival in NYC; invited
back to perform at Carnegie Hall next year
Congratulations to the Hilton High
School Women’s Chorus and Chorale which traveled to New York
City April 9-11 to compete in the Heritage’s Festival of Gold
at Riverside Cathedral in Manhattan. Twenty-five
schools and over 50 ensembles competed from around the world
including, China, Virgin Islands, Canada, and South Korea as
well as Kentucky, Maryland, New York, Ohio, Florida, North
Carolina, Massachusetts and California. The Women’s Chorus
and Chorale received Superior [Gold] ratings, but also won
first place in their respective divisions. In addition, the
groups won the Chorus Sweepstakes Trophy for best combined
Choral scores as a school and were invited to sing at
Carnegie Hall next year according to Chorale Director
Nicholas Williams and Chorus Director Adam Klock, music teachers at Hilton High School.
