Common Sense Parenting Free Course to be offered through HCSD Community Education

Interested parents and guardians are welcome to sign up for a “Common Sense Parenting” offered free through the Hilton Central School District Community Education program on a rotating basis throughout the school year.  The six-week course is a practical, skill-based program for parents of children ages six to 16. “Learn logical strategies and easy-to-use techniques which address communication, discipline, decision-making, relationships, self-control and school process,” says instructor Maria Tantillo LMSW.   CLASS CANCELLED - Winter-Spring 2012.

“Parents will learn to encourage positive behavior and discourage negative behavior teaching alternatives to problem behaviors.”  Ms. Tantillo is a certified parent trainer for Common Sense Parenting which is a national program. Childcare is available.

Common Sense Parenting was developed by Boys Town and is offered to Hilton parents/guardians at no cost with childcare provided.
