Welcome back, students, teachers and staff.  Summer is a fantastic opportunity to have time to play, make friends, read and vacation.  Many staff members have been taking advantage of professional development opportunities, serving on committees, writing curriculum and working at the district or regional summer school program.  It is our goal to continually examine ways to increase student learning to ensure that every student meet or exceed the outcomes described in our District’s Mission and Beliefs.

Merton Williams Middle School  Seventh Grade Orientation Aug. 30; Eighth Grade Visitation Aug. 31  - MW Parent Newsletter July 2011  Students may pick up their schedule, agenda and locker number and combination upon arrival. We will NOT be mailing schedules home. If you are unable to attend orientation, you can visit and pick up your materials during Eighth Grade Visitation Day Aug. 31 or you may contact us to make alternative arrangements. Orientation will be organized by team and will conclude with a presentation in the MIR. Please use the time before your team presentation to find your locker, practice your combination and find your way around the building. We also recommend you bring your school supplies so your locker can be organized for the first day of school.  Eighth Grade Visitation Day Aug. 31   Eighth graders can pick up their schedules, agenda and locker information on Wednesday, August 31, between the hours of 9 am and 1 pm. We request that eighth graders do not visit during seventh grade orientation.  If you are unable to attend on Wednesday, you can stop in on Thursday or Friday, September 1 or 2, during the hours of 9 am and 1 pm. Quest Elementary School  - Annual Ice Cream Social Wednesday, August 31 New Quest families of all ages: Meet ‘n Greet with Principal Spillman - 5:45 pm-6 pm in the cafeteria. Kindergarten families: check out a school bus and go for a ride - 6 pm-6:30 pm in the bus loop – bus will make multiple runs.  Everyone: enjoy some frozen custard - 6:30 pm-7:30 pm in the cafeteria.  Have fun with magic, music and dancing from Jimmy C’s - 7 pm-8 pm in the gym.
