Welcome to Hilton Central School District Community Education which is committed to building a connected learning community through providing reasonably-priced courses for adults, youth and families. Registration is ongoing; use the Online Course Reservation form or print out Registration Form and mail to: Hilton Community Education, 225 West Ave., Hilton, NY 14468. YOU MUST REGISTER EVEN IF CLASS IS FREE FOR YOU. No extra charge for out-of-district residents.  A $5 processing fee is charge on all refunds. The CE Registrar's Office is located at 225 West Ave., Hilton. The CE Catalogue of Courses is mailed in August and in December for the Fall and Winter/Spring semesters respectively. Driver Education is offered each semester and in the summer. Both Hilton District residents and non-district residents are welcome to register. No extra charge for out-of-district residents unless noted. Those over age 55 who live in the Hilton School District may apply for a GAP pass which offers free/discounted courses. HCSD employees and VEPTO/PTSO volunteers use the GAP rate. Hilton High School students may use the GAP rate for classes identified specifically for "HS Students" [Food Safety Certification, Fitness Swim]. No class confirmations mailed; you will only hear from us if class is cancelled. Class may be cancelled due to low enrollment. Facts of Divorce in NYS - Correction to Catalogue   The stress of a potential or active divorce proceeding can be better managed with an understanding of timelines and usual legal and financial experiences. Food Safety Certifications NEW Level 1 and Level 2 [Health Department Approved] offered at HHS in March; High School students may register Hilton High School students interested in working in restaurants, food service, food booths or catering may sign up to receive Monroe County Health Dept. certification through Hilton CSD Community Education. This course fulfills the required Monroe County Health Department Level 1 [Food Handler in charge]. Level 1 students take a national exam with the certification valid for five years. You will learn about the microbes that cause foodborne illness, proper personal hygiene; protecting food during receiving, storage, preparation and serving based on the FDA model food code as well as cleaning and sanitizing, pest control in commercial kitchens and regulatory preparedness. INSTRUCTOR: Peter Castronovo, a past Health Department Sanitarian with over 27 years of food safety/sanitation experience. He will share his hands-on inspection experience and unique true stories to help you serve safe, wholesome food. Supplies [handouts and certificates] included. Registration -  Registration for CE classes begins as soon as you receive the Catalogue of Courses, but is ongoing throughout the semester.  All interested persons may register; no extra charge for out-of-district residents except as noted in catalogue; generally classes are for adults [age 16+] unless stated [ex. Dog Obedience, Drivers Licensing, Aqua Kick-Boxing, Fitness Swim, Food Safety Certification]. Only Hilton CSD residents are eligible for a GAP pass. Refund requests must be made three days in advance of the first day of class. A $5 processing fee is charged on refunds if the class is not free.  Registration fee must be received PRIOR to attending class -- please mail your registration [not supply fee] early to ensure your registration. Checks are payable to Hilton Community Education. Supply fees are collected by instructors. You will not receive a written confirmation; you will only receive notice if a class is cancelled. Classes are generally six weeks in length; discount if you sign up for multiple sessions. Catalogue Mailings - Community Education Course Catalogues are mailed to all Hilton School District residents in December and August.

GAP Pass - free/discounted fee courses for HCSD resident seniors over age 55, all HCSD employees and Hilton High School students in specifically-noted courses [ex. Aqua Kick-Boxing, Fitness Swim, Food Safety Certification]. Hilton School District residents age 55 or older may apply for a GAP [Golden Age] pass by calling 585-392-1000 ext. 7044. HCSD employees and HS students do not have to call; just indicate on your registration form.  GAP allows for free or discounted registration fees on all courses. In addition, Hilton District residents age 65 or older may apply for a GAP Scholarship.  This once-a-semester scholarship allows a senior who qualifies for the NYS Aged Exemption to take a course free-of-charge [does not include supply fee]. Individuals with handicapping conditions also are eligible for a GAP pass. Please call 585-392-1000 ext. 7044 for more information.

Driver Education - Hilton CSD Community Education offers several convenient driver education programs: after-school and summer Driver Education leading to the issuance of an MV-285; Five-Hour Pre-Licensing leading to the MV-278; Online Permit Testing after school at Hilton High School; Six-Hour Insurance/Point Reduction classes in the evening; and Defensive Driving classes on Saturdays. Driver Education at Hilton High School - Online credit cards accepted. Students must attend every session.
NYS DMV Five-Hr. Pre-Licensing $40 at Hilton High School after school. 

Hilton Schools Aquatic Center - The Aquatic Center is located at Merton Williams Middle School 200 School La., Hilton, with entrance and parking at the rear of the building off Old Hojack Lane.  DIRECTIONS TO POOL.

The Hilton Central Schools' Aquatic Center is jointly shared by the Hilton School District Student Instructional Swim, Interscholastic and Intramural Sports, Hilton Community Education, HAST [Hilton Area Swim Team], and Hilton-Parma Recreation as determined by interest and need.  Participants in any swim program should leave valuables at home or bring a padlock to place on a locker.
