Hilton Assistant Superintendent for
Business Steven Ayers, along with University of Rochester

is co-author of "What Does Average
Really mean? Making Sense of Statistics" in the
January 2009 issue of School Business Affairs, a national
magazine for school business officials published in Reston,
Virginia. The article discusses the "shift toward
greater accountability" and the role practical statistics
plays in school affairs. The user-friendly primer on
statistics helps school administrators analyze, interpret
