Hilton School District receives Grant to archive Hilton High School Hiltorial Yearbooks

Hilton School District has received a grant to archive Hilton High School Hiltorial yearbooks  The archive intends to post the scanned images of yearbook pages online.  In August 2007 the District was awarded Local Government Records Management Improvement Fund Grants (LGRMIF) totaling $11,580 from the New York State Archives.  New York State Archives offers LGRMIF grants “to support, promote and recognize sound archival and records management practices, as well as to encourage creative and valuable uses of archival records.”    Feature video on Rochester's RNews. 

These grants will help the District “respond to the challenges of managing records and information in the twenty-first century.”  Patricia Unterborn, District Clerk and Records Management Officer, wrote the grant and will be the project manager. 

The District received the grant to microfilm and scan pages of the School District's historic Hiltorial yearbooks.
